Steve and Cathy Attwell. Both born in Zimbabwe, we came to Arusha, Tanzania in 1991. We have two children, Simon and Laura, both of whom are in the UK. Steve works in the safari industry while Cathy began and runs the Outpost Lodge in Arusha. We moved to Tanga in 2003, having decided that living on the coast was what we, as a family, from the deep interior would like to do... hence the beginning of Fish Eagle. We searched the coast, found our 'paradise', endured the tedious bureaucracy of getting title and finally construction started on 22 Jan 2008. With four Fundis Steve had worked with building hunting camps along with twenty five unskilled locals as helpers, construction began, logistics was tough and planning was made as we went along... always with a clear mind to keep the area as natural as possible... We think we achieved this and although still yet to complete the full set of bungalows, we now have a livable and beautiful spot to share with you! KARIBU!
