All our boats are maintained and kept in the best order possible. Our traditionally solid and comfortable timber dhows are ably skippered by captains, born locally. It's their great pleasure to share their idyllic backyard with you. Your safety and well being is of primary concern to us and we endeavor to make it so with each boat having 2 separate modes of travel (ie two outboards or sail/back-up outboard). Radios/telephones are carried at all times.

Dege Saa

Dege Saa our big Mashua, has a new sail and rigging along with a new Yamaha 40hp standby motor. It is a wonderfully comfortable experience and sailing quietly in a dhow is certainly memorable. Dege Saa was built in Kigombe, we have since fibre-glassed the boat, (loss of patience at constant sealing saw to that!), we have also added decking and shade aft. Dege Saa was used as a cargo dhow transporting goods to and from Zanzibar and Pemba, it can carry huge payloads and we also use it for resupply from Tanga.

Mkadini

Mkadini (derived from our local beach name) is our smaller outboard powered mashua (2 motors). Mkadini has room, cover and comfort with full shade and a 'tower' to sit on and a depth finder - ideal for island hopping, transfers, inshore fishing, sunset 'booze' cruise, snorkeling etc... We will in October fibre glass the boat. Mkadini was built in Pangani.
